Passing your driving test gives you freedom and independence. But many learners take their tests too early, leading to them failing, and with the ongoing backlog of tests, the pass rate has seen a significant decrease.

These are some of the things you should look out for before doing a test
1. You do not need prompts from your driving instructor
2. You do not make serious or dangerous mistakes when you’re driving
3. You can pass mock driving tests
4. Your driving instructor agrees you’re ready.
Our in-house mock tests
At system, we have a bespoke mock test program supported by our most experienced driving instructors to make sure our pupils are fully prepared before they do their practical driving tests.
Move your test if you’re not ready
If you feel like you are not ready leading up to your test, you can always cancel or change the date of your test on the Government Website.
It’s free to change your appointment time, as long as you do it at least 3 full working days (Mondays to Saturdays) before your test.

New changes to the test system
A new rule being introduced to the booking system now means that if you fail your driving test, you will now have to wait 28 working days until you can book a new one. The current wait time is 10 working days.
