Sidney started the driving school back in 1971 following his career as a class one police driver, who use “The System of Car Control” even to this day. Sidney decided, he wanted to bring the police way of safety to the general public and System Driving School was born.
Originally based at Upminster Bridge, Sidney built the driving school from just him in car to 15 instructors in the local area, making System one of the largest driving schools in Havering.

Following in Sidney’s footsteps, Kevin started as a qualified driving instructor (ADI) teaching pupils in his local Rayleigh area.
In 2015 he decided to use his knowledge to take over the driving school and expand the business, taking System Driving School into the 21st Century, with now over 100 instructors, all who use the latest technology and cars to help their pupils learn to drive on today’s busy roadways.

Leah heads the day to day running of the admin support team at Mapline House.
She has helped Kevin build System Driving School’s online portal into arguably the best program for our instructors to assist with their pupil’s lessons.
Her years of experience puts Leah in the perfect place to head the day-to-day running operations at HQ in Rayleigh.

Lauren joined System Driving School in 2016 following her career as a qualified driving instructor with BSM and even though she is now office based, still holds her full instructor ADI qualification.
She now uses her knowledge to help recruit people to become driving instructors, joining our current team of over 100 instructors throughout Essex and Havering

Lynda joined System Driving School in 2016 following her career as a qualified driving instructor with AA Driving School.
Using her knowledge, Lynda can give the best advice to pupils and instructors ensuring our support is at the highest standards.

Running and maintaining our 3000sq ft HQ & training facility in Rayleigh doesn’t happen all on its own and thankfully we have Sarah who takes care of our every needs.
Sarah also attends with her husband Kevin at local school Safety Presentation’s, meeting with students throughout Essex, spreading the importance of learning to drive properly.

Son of Kevin & Sarah, Henry works part-time after school at Mapline House, adding pupil passes and their Trustpilot reviews to our social media platforms, as well as editing videos for our instructor trainers that help them assess our instructors who are regularly assessed to ensure they keep their tuition to the highest standards.
Henry is autistic, so the challenge for him to communicate with others is difficult. Over the past year, he has started to enjoy working alongside the rest of the office team, plus the instructors who pop into the office throughout the afternoons.

Gary is our head of instructor training. Gary has over the last 12 years, become one of the leading Driving Instructor Trainers in the South East.
ADI & ORDIT qualified, Gary continues to train our instructor team, coach new DIT trainers and still finds time to fit in an odd pupil or two…

Following his many years as a qualified instructor (ADI) teaching pupils with System Driving School (Essex number one rated driving school on Trustpilot), Jim joined our team of instructor trainers teaching the instructor team. Jim is also a qualified DVSA ORDIT trainer, and as with Gary, still continues to teach the occasional pupil when possible…
