A survey of police forces has revealed the 10th worst junction for “amber gamblers”. This comes after police officers set up camera system technology on dozens of sets of traffic lights across the country which makes it possible to recognize a vehicle’s registration plate if they go through after the lights have turned red.

An Ambler gambler is someone who will risk speeding through ambler lights in an attempt to get through before it turns red
Why is it a problem?
Risking running a red light is incredibly dangerous as a large percentage of people running red lights are speeding which results in collisions with other cars.
What are the punishments for this?
People who are caught doing this can be charged a £100 fine as well as potentially being issued 3 points on their driving license
