Recognizing successful schools which actively support both their pupils and their instructors, demonstrating excellent teaching for their students, and supporting career development for their teams. You will not operate nationally but in one or more specific geographical areas. We’re looking for excellent customer service, innovative and effective instruction, a commitment to road safety, strong business development, and support for your instructor network.

“Pupils can search, book, and pay (via Worldpay) for their driving lessons on our bespoke website, which is developed and maintained in-house. Our driving lessons are usually two hours long, giving pupils the best value for money, rather than lots of one-hour sessions and we give them free full access to Theory Test Pro. Innovative and effective instruction

Successful entrants will need to demonstrate a commitment to creative, effective, and supportive instruction. This could include pre-17 driver training options and post-test training, theory test and hazard perception test support, engagement with parents of young learners, original instruction techniques, follow-up work with pupils, and eligible older drivers in need of retraining.

“In line with the DVSA “Ready to Pass”, and as well as our instructors conducting mock tests with their own pupils, we also have 10 ADI’s “Acting Examiners” who conduct mock tests for our instructor team’s pupils, giving them the actual feel of a proper DVSA test, including, debrief and test reports, thus helping the pupils with nerves and making the decision to whether they are in fact ready for the driving test.”

A commitment to road safety

Road safety is at the core of all driving instruction. We’re looking for driving schools that go beyond the high standards expected of this profession. This could include attitude and behavioral training, follow-up work with students, providing or suggesting extra learning resources, a commitment to post-test training, active membership of road safety organizations, and/or linking up with your local road safety team. Does your driving school support your instructors and actively encourage them to look beyond ‘teaching to the test’, providing them with encouragement and resources that will enable them to actively provide more and better road safety awareness and understanding to their pupils?
