Darker nights ahead
Practice driving at night:
When learning how to drive you may want to take a couple of driving lessons in the evening or early morning this may be with a driving instructor or during private practice this will mean that your first time driving in the dark isn’t post-test and unassisted.

Window wipers:
Always check that your window screen wiper blades are working before setting off and clear your screen properly because when in the dark it’s hard enough to see with a clear window screen.
So don’t scrimp when it comes to getting new blades.

Don’t look into the light:
You might find it hard to see when a car heads toward you. The easiest way to avoid being dazzled by the lights is to look left slightly at the edge of the road until the car has passed as this will keep you on the correct side of the road and stop you from being unable to see correctly.

Slow and steady:
If traveling at night and you are finding yourself a tad overwhelmed, slow down! This will allow you to have more response time should you need it.

Headlights
In the UK it is illegal to drive at night without lights in correct working order, which not only is extremely dangerous due to poor visibility but could land you a fine of £50. Always check if your car has automatic lights that they are on when needed because they don’t always turn on in all weather conditions.
