DVSA advice on the risks of using driving test cancellation finder apps.

 In NEWS

Some learner drivers are using driving test cancellation finder apps and third-party booking sites to secure earlier test dates, taking advantage of openings from last-minute cancellations to complete their driving exams sooner. But this isn’t always a good thing as there are risks involved in the booking process.

The DVSA neither operates, approves, nor endorses any cancellation finder apps or services. The only official service for booking driving tests is available through GOV.UK.

The DVSA has published guidance on the Ready to Pass? website to inform learners about the risks associated with using cancellation finder services. This guidance includes advice on:

– Verifying what personal data the service or third-party app requires
– Understanding how your data will be used
– Being mindful of prices
– Knowing where to file complaints regarding data misuse or hidden charges
